Emotional moment in documentary about Princess Diana

The documentary `My Hanoi` is an interesting perspective on Hanoi from a former French Ambassador who lived in Hanoi for 8 years and served 4 years as French Ambassador to Vietnam.

With the help of his brother, Director Henzi-Louis Poirier, who listened to his younger brother talk about Hanoi with emotion and vivid images while spending quiet afternoons wandering the streets, everywhere.

Former French Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirier traveled a lot, to many places he loved to get material for the documentary `My Hanoi`

Impressed by the strange yet familiar images of Hanoi, unique by the very personal perspectives of a foreigner who is attached and has a special affection for Hanoi, and interesting by the Vietnamese voice of the author himself.

With a duration of 52 minutes, the former French Ambassador’s PTL `My Hanoi` (Mon Hanoi) will be an interesting journey to explore every corner of Hanoi, looking for `secrets` about the city that fascinated him.

Mentioning every aspect from culture, cuisine, architecture, traffic, but the heart of the film is people – the citizens of the Capital, whom he calls `the soul of the city` from a simple, rustic perspective.

`My Hanoi` will take audiences to the old Hanoi and the new Hanoi – street corners, cultural features… that Hanoians themselves may have forgotten for a long time.

Without the typical architectural works of the Capital, the noisy and flashy tourist destinations that have attracted many tourists, Hanoi in the former ambassador’s film is `graceful and attractive in its own way`.

The interesting point of the film is not only because of the very realistic images of the capital, but also because the scriptwriter is also the one who shot the film with the director (who is also his biological brother) and read the comments himself in Vietnamese.

Sharing about the film, the author affirmed that his wish is to `bring to the residents of Hanoi as well as all Vietnamese people, a new perspective on the obvious beauty and grace of Vietnam.`

Sharing from VTV representative: We are not talking about profession or expertise, but the subtle perspective and heart of the filmmaker is important.

The movie airs at 8:40 p.m. on October 8, 2017 on VTV1 channel.
