Designer Hien Le

Why did you become a fashion designer?

Since childhood I have had the desire to do something related to fashion.

What is your standout design?

I think one of my famous designs is the half-covered button border.

What is your favorite product from your collection?

I like blouses the most in every fashion season.

How do you describe your products?

The identifying characteristics of my fashion products are smoothness, meticulousness and clarity in every detail.

What is the biggest goal you aim for?

That is to bring my collections to the world, or rather, I want to expand the scale and sell more and more of the items I make.

What inspires your work?

Everything from movies, music, art, architecture to people.

Who do you think about when designing the items?

I often think of a few people while creating, of course that doesn’t mean I only design things for those people.

Who has had a big influence on your career?

I think it was my grandfather because he used to be a famous tailor.

Between the process and the finished product, what is more important to you?

The two things are one whole, from the process will lead to the finished product, just like the cause leads to the result.

Is design a difficult job for you, and if so, what drives you to continue?

Of course, it is very difficult to have to continuously launch new products, from one season to the next, or create two collections in one year at the same time.

How does user reaction affect you?

It’s not necessarily that it will have a bad or good effect on my work, but I want to hear comments from buyers or press comments.

How do you define Beauty?

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.

What is your life philosophy?

Find things you really like to do, only then will you have true happiness.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned in your career?

It’s about believing in yourself, loving what you do, never giving up and standing up even if you fail.
