Under the clear sunlight of a Hanoi morning at the end of the year, Jessica Minh Anh and Da Thao Phuong had a conversation about the differences and new things in their profession.

Jessica Minh Anh (Jessica): What’s new in Ms. Phuong’s life last year?

Da Thao Phuong (DTP): 2011 was my `hinge` year when I just finished my project studying documentary filmmaking and video art at Doclab, Goethe Institute Hanoi.

My first film Lady Piano was screened along with the films of my classmates in the first Mini Documentary Festival in Vietnam at the Goethe Institute, which filled the auditorium, bringing me great joy.

Jessica: 2011 was my most successful year when I successfully organized a historic event on London Tower Bridge, worked with top designers and fashion houses such as Paul Costelloe, Jaeger London, Hugo Boss,

DTP: I think this is very important to pay attention to.

Jessica: The fashion industry always requires innovation.

DTP: As a young woman, do you feel pressured?

Jessica: If you think you are a woman, you will feel pressured, but if you think you can do anything a man can do, there will be no pressure at all.
